Toronto’s arts community is vibrant, rich, and rooted in its community. Photographically speaking, the tour features a rich concoction of sumptuous imagery from the CBC Building on Front St. W., Roy Thomson Hall, The Bell TIFF Lightbox, and a rich tapestry of murals on Funky Queen St. W.

From there, we head up through Grange Park to the magnificent reworking of the AGO by Frank Gehry, and then back down to Queen for a spectacular view of the CN Tower, with Will Alsop’s wonderfully playful OCAD (seen best in the afternoon).

The tour starts from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and across the street to the CBC. From there, we walk up John St., past the NFB, to the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Roy Thomson Hall, the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Then we go down McCaul St. and finish at Ontario College of Art & Design.

Meeting place: Metro Toronto Convention Centre
